Do not underestimate the value of recipient's permission
Send your offers only to addresses that were obtained and confirmed by you. Avoid purchasing databases of email addresses (such databases are often full of unverified addresses and compiled without recipient's permission) and contacts from public company registers or lists.
Do not blindly send requests for permission – it is against the law.
When a user makes an online purchase or registration at your site, make sure that the request for permission is clearly worded and visible, avoid hidden statements in your terms of sale.
Send email offers for services or products only to recipients from your database who gave you permission to receive offers for such particular service or product.
E-mail offers must be sent by the permission holder. Do not share or sell your database of recipients who gave you their permission with any 3rd party for their own use.
